Media language
1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine?
They are written in bold to catch their eyes quickly and for someone who is not properly educated they will understand it and buy it because of the gossip .
2) What are the connotations of the Heat colour scheme on this particular front cover?
Its mostly pink meaning they are attracting women because they are stereotyped for liking the colour
3) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. paparazzi images or aspects of mise-en-scene such props, costume, make-up, body position, facial expression etc.)
The pictures are taken from the paparazzi to make it interesting for the audience to see the celebrities true self . One of the picture is showing is showing cheryl as beautiful and liam as dead looking to make more tension , other picture is of the royals walking out because people will be interested in the royal drama .
4) What differences can you find between the use of design and typography between Tatler and Heat? List at least three differences and explain the effect on audiences.
Tatler is more organised with their writing but heat is everywhere making it look messy .
Tatler talks more about politics or something fancy but heat only talk about celebrity drama
Tatler uses more light soft colours but heat uses more bold ones
Media Representations

Victoria beckham , harry and Megan , cheryl and liam .
2) How are celebrities represented in Heat? (Positively? Negatively? Reinforcing or challenging stereotypes?)
They are represented negatively with different drams about them and Cheryl in a good way but Liam as a bad person and saying that Harry and Megan made a mistake for leaving .
3) How are women represented on the cover of Heat? Think about both images and cover lines here.
They are represented as some are good but some are bad like Victoria beckham showed in a bad way and highlighting in bold about her mistake but cheryl is shown in a good way because she did anyting wrong .
4) How do Heat and Tatler represent social class? What different social classes can you find in the features and celebrities on the cover? (E.g. middle/upper class / working class)
Working class as the price is on the magazine so they how much it is if they can afford it
Upper class as there is royal family on it .
