 researching music videos: 

1) Music video 1: Marshmello x YUNGBLUD x blackbear - Tongue Tied


How is narrative used in this music video to engage the audience?
I think Propps character theory is used here as the police are the villain as they are silencing people and youngbuld and the others are more like helpers and trying to help their people to not be harmed and blackbear and the girl are hero as they save youngblud from the police and save their community. 

2)Music video 2: Years & Years - I Wish I Knew

How is camerawork and mise-en-scene used in this video? Use CLAMPS to remember the different aspects of mise-en-scene.
At the start of the video the the first shot is a medium shot and just focusing on one person to really see the expressions and how the person is feeling through out this video. Then it slowly backs up to a wide shot to see of more whats going on and at like the end it different shot together in like a energetic way to match with the songs vibe. The mise-en-scene used in this video are like setting- as we can see its like a party but at the start a person is alone and the place just feels empty but then later it gets more full of life there are different bright colours around giving a very happy tone. The lighting is very warm and bright giving us the hint that the song is very happy , energetic etc. Props we can see when we get a wide angle shot that most of the people that come in has instruments showing us that its a band. 

3) Music video 3: Foals - Hummer

How is editing used in this music video to engage the audience?
With editing they put clips together at the start to match with the beat of the song which makes it so upbeat. 

4) Music video 4: Your choice

The camera work is mainly hand held which gives it the perspective of the person and giving you the feel that you are them in the video and your experiencing it without being there.

Artist and song you have chosen: Tal Vez by Gabriela Bee 

Plan for music video (narrative/performance etc.): At the start of the video its dull and a sad mood with a girl struggling with her mental health and her friendgroup not helping either when she tries opening up and they make fun of her but then gets a message of this friend from her other group and asks her to hang out and she was worried at first but then she gets the confidence to go out with them but she scared they will judge but when she hung out with them everyone cared for her and gave her great advice so then getting her happiness back and her confidence after hanging out with them a lot she drops her other friends and hangs outs with her new friends so then at the end the mood is happy and the weather is sunny and warm. 

Link to brief (one small step to improving your community): It is linked to the brief because how the other friends helped the girl to be better again when she was treated like nothing 

Actors/performers you plan to use: My friends , my self , my cousin. 

Locations: House , parks. 

Costume/make-up/props required: Teenagers clothing mainly so then younger audiences can relate with the video
