Real statement of Intent

My song for my music video is 'Tal Vez' by Gabriela Bee. In the video there will be a girl struggling with her mental health and all her friends come along to make her feel happy again. The message I want to send my audience is to always be kind as you never know what strangers are going through.

 

My video will include people of different backgrounds to represent different races to make it as inclusive as possible, there will be young teenagers, mostly girls. There will be stereotypes that are reinforced such as girls comforting girls this will support the stereotype of girls being gentler and more loving than boys. My target audience will be young adults because they will resonate with the girl struggling at the beginning.

 

In this video I will be using different camera shots like close ups to create a narrative at the beginning which will develop through the use of wide shots when this girl is with friends, over the shoulder and lastly a medium shot to just focus on someone when they are talking. The elements of Mise-en-scene I will use, include lighting, costume, setting. For lighting its will dark and gloomy at the start to match the persons depressed mood and at the end it will be sunny to communicate a very joyful vibe to show the persons change in emotions and show how happy she is now. For costume it will be casual teen clothes to show that not only grown up have struggles, but the younger generation does too. Lastly for setting it’ll be a house, parks, shopping malls. For editing I will adjust the lighting to make it match the mood of the protagonist.

-One camera shot in doctor who is medium close up . A medium close up is from your head to your shoulders and it affects the audience by picking up gestures and facial expressions while maintaining a sense of the background .   - The second camera shot is close up . A close is just the actors faces . It affects the audience by giving the audience a more detailed and intimate look at something might otherwise miss .
